Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the uyên.ai app ("the app") by Sota Labs Technology Joint Stock Company ("we") handles your data. Our principles: process on-device whenever possible, collect the minimum, and never sell your data.

Data that stays on your device

• Dashcam video and drive-screen photos: stored locally on your iPhone, auto-pruned by a storage ring buffer, and only leave the device when you actively share them.
• GPS location and trip history: used to show speed, evaluate legal distance thresholds and keep your trip log — all stored locally.
• Camera imagery for detecting vehicles, lanes and signs: processed on-device by local AI models; never uploaded.

Data sent off-device to power features

• Your voice when talking to the Uyên assistant: audio is streamed to Soniox (speech recognition) and your query to Google Gemini (answer generation). This data is not linked to your identity (the app has no accounts) and is not used for tracking or advertising.
• Diagnostics and usage data: we use Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics (Google) for crash reports and aggregate usage metrics (app instance identifiers, device model, usage events). Not used for advertising and not linked to your identity.

iOS permissions the app requests

• Camera: detecting vehicles, lanes, signs, and dashcam recording.
• Microphone & Speech Recognition: talking with the Uyên assistant.
• Location (while using the app): speed, legal thresholds and trip log.
• Add to Photos: saving photos you explicitly capture.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal data.
• No advertising; no sharing with ad networks or data brokers.
• No tracking across other apps or websites.

Storage & deletion

All local data (videos, trips, settings) lives inside the app — deleting the app deletes everything. You can also delete individual clips/trips in the app.
